Officers say while they are unsure why the meth was blue, it may have been colored in order to market their product, or to target teens.
"I would think that maybe it is appealing to the younger generations. Just as a fad, you know, a different color or something," says Sheriff John Root.
Officers say the coloring on the meth was tested, and is just a type of dye.
"It is just a food color put on the meth, just to give it a different appearance. It is still crystal meth. It just gives it a different color," says Root.
